Mehemet Oz aka (Dr. Oz) is spot on when he quoted “your genetics load the gun, your lifestyle pulls the trigger.”


Heart disease may run in your family but CHOOSING to live a healthy lifestyle can make a huge difference in the quality of your life. According to WebMD Some genes lead to disease. “But for most people, a healthy lifestyle trumps inherited risk.”


Or if you have a predisposition of obesity you can lower the effects by making lifestyle changes. Genes don’t determine your destiny, your lifestyle does. However, understanding your own unique genetic-makeup will help you live a lifestyle that will support your health and longevity.

In this video I’m going to go over some keep points to keep you on track when CHOOSING health over dis-ease. The first step to being healthy is to first recognize that you are unhealthy. Whether you are suffering from cancer, heart disease, obesity, diabetes depression etc. The second step is CONSCIOUSLY DECIDE that you want to be a more healthier happier you.


What we continuously do on a regular basis turns into a habit. Every CHOICE we make affects our health and determines the outcome of our overall wellness.


It’s never to late and you’re never to old to DECIDE you want to be healthy. Changing bad habits can be difficult, in some cases you may need to change your environment but soon the choices that once seemed difficult will now be just an automatic response.


Questions to ask yourself… Figure out the (WHY) why do I want to be healthy? Maybe it’s because you want to play with your kids, grandkids without gasping for air every two minutes, be there when they hit certain milestones in their life, maybe you want to travel more, maybe you just want more energy….


Make the conscious decision that you want to be healthy. Put it in writing, what will that look like, feel like….

Find your tribe. Surround yourself with people that have the same goals as you, will support you on your journey and hold you accountable. Remember you become who you hang out with.
