Hey guys what’s up this is Tricia from Mind•Body•Soul. Hope you’re healthy, well, and staying positive. In this video I’ll be going over three powerful immune-boosting mushrooms 🍄 that will RADICALLY improve the health of your immunity.

The mushrooms that I will be speaking on have been used for thousands of years as food and medicine to significantly boost the immune system, protect against bacterial, fungus, viral, and parasites 🦠 There are many compounds and nutrients in medicinal mushrooms that benefit human health and studies have been shown that they can strongly enhance your immune system. Here are my top three immune-boosting mushrooms.

1. Reishi

Reishi is one of the most powerful and effective herbs in giving our immune system a boost and can assist in fighting cancer, and can prevent heart disease. Reishi helps strengthen the body’s defense system. It is a great flu 😷 fighting herb and can also be taken to reduce the risk of spreading the cold and flu on to others. Additionally, Reishi has many other great benefits, reduces cholesterol and blood pressure, anti-inflammatory protects the liver, inhibits bacteria and viruses and is also an anti-stress herb. Reishi is an all around health promoting mushroom that we all should be taking!!!

2. Turkey Tail

Turkey Tail has an impressive range of benefits and has the ability to enhance our immune system. Turkey Tail contains a formidable array of antioxidants two of which are flavonoid and phenols which help promote your immune system by reducing inflammation and stimulating the release of protective compounds. In addition Turkey Tail can help fight certain cancers and help with the efficacy of chemo treatment and may improve gut bacteria balance which can have a significant impact on your immune system.

3. Shiitake

According to a study done in 2015 in the journal of the American College of Nutrition they evaluated 52 healthy males and females, aged 21–41 years, to determine if shiitake mushrooms could improve human immune function. The study involved a four-week trial that involved participants consuming five or 10 grams of mushrooms daily. The results suggest that consuming mushrooms improved cell effector function and improved gut immunity. There was also a reduction of inflammation due to mushroom consumption. Although the best source of Vitamin D is being out in the sun, shiitake mushrooms can provide a good amount of Vitamin D as well.

These three powerful mushrooms plus, Cordyceps, which can increase your strength and endurance along with Lions Mane that improves brain function are in my protein boost supplement.
